Brimonidine – Timolol fixed combination is indicated for reduction of intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with chronic open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension who are insufficiently responsive to topical beta-blockers.
Careprost Eye Drops 0.03% (Bimatoprost Ophthalmic Solution) is used for the treatment of high eye pressure, also called intraocular pressure (IOP), in people with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension.
GATIQUIN-Pis indicated for steroid-responsive inflammatory ocular conditions for which a corticosteroid is indicated and where bacterial infection or a risk of bacterial ocular infection exists.
Ocular steroids are indicated in inflammatory conditions of the palpebral and bulbar conjunctiva, cornea and anterior segment of the globe where the inherent risk of steroid use in certain infective conjunctivitis is accepted to obtain a diminution in edema and inflammation. They are also indicated in chronic anterior uveitis and corneal injury from chemical radiation, or thermal burns, or penetration of foreign bodies. The use of a combination drug with an anti-infective component is indicated where the risk of infection is high or where there is an expectation that potentially dangerous numbers of bacteria will be present in the eye. The combination can also be used for post-operative inflammation and any other ocular inflammation associated with infection.
Cyclosporine is a cyclic polypeptide with 11 amino acids obtained from a fungus. Cyclosporine specifically inhibits proliferation of T- lymphocyte cells, production of interleukin and cytokines. In cell mediated immunity antigen is processed and presented to helper T-cells. This secretes interleukins and cytokines that cause proliferation cytotoxic lymphocytes. The mature cytotoxic lymphocytes (killer cells) lyse antigen-containing cells. Restasis selectively suppresses cell-mediated immunity and prevents graft rejection. Cyclosporine suppresses the responses of primed helper T-cells also and hence used in the treatment of autoimmune diseases. Restasis does not affect the bone marrow and reticuloendothelial system. Cyclosporine is more active when administered before antigen exposure.
This medication is used to treat glaucoma, or other conditions which also cause high pressure within the eye. Bimatoprost is used after other medicines either caused very bothersome side effects, or did not fully work to lower the pressure within your eye(s). Controlling glaucoma can help prevent blindness.
Ketorolac ophthalmic solution is indicated for the temporary relief of ocular itching due to seasonal allergic conjunctivitis. Ketorolac ophthalmic solution is also indicated for the treatment of post-operative inflammation in patients who have undergone cataract extraction.
