Lenalidomide is used to treat anemia in patients with multiple myeloma (cancer of the plasma cells in the bone marrow) and myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). This medication may decrease the need for treatment with blood transfusions. Lenalidomide belongs to a group of medicines called immunomodulating agents.
